ROOFTOP LANDSCAPE & VIEWING GARDENS
This multi-family residential building in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn features a 12,000 sf rooftop terrace on the 16th floor and two 4,000 sf viewing gardens on the ground level. The rooftop landscape includes custom wood banquettes and benches, a raised viewing deck with lounging platforms, a fitness area, and two outdoor kitchens – all connected by a linear wood boardwalk pathway amongst native meadow plantings. The viewing gardens are pictorial landscapes designed to be viewed from the various perspectives of apartment windows. The Arch includes a combination of affordable and market rate residences as part of a larger mixed used development in the neighborhood that includes the transformation of an historic armory building into a community recreation and wellness center.
