Joanna Pertz
NYS Licensed and Registered Landscape Architect

A RISD MLA Alumna and the founder and principal of Joanna Pertz Landscape Architecture, Joanna Pertz, ASLA, bring her artistic sensibility to all of the offices work.
Joanna received her BA in environmental studies and fine arts from UC Santa Cruz and a Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design, where she graduated with honors. Prior to starting the practice, Joanna was an associate at HLW International, LLP and a designer at Quennell Rothschild and Partners, LLP. She also worked as a stone carver in Texas, assisting the production of large scale urban sculpture before entering architectural practice.

Design experience includes waterfront, campus and corporate and residential work. Joanna Pertz Landscape Architecture focuses on crafting landscapes that bring together the grace of nature with the clarity of architecture.

Joanna Pertz was raised in Brooklyn where the practice is located, on the waterfront in Dumbo.
